Accepting Applications for Home Weatherization Assistance Program

posted 3/3/15 -- The Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) is in the process of depleting its waiting list of applicants who applied over the past several years. The program is now accepting new applications from interested candidates who own or rent a home in Lorain County. HWAP is a stated-funded program designed to provide safe energy conservation measures to income-eligible households. Full Story

Head Start Closing and HEAP two-hour delay

posted 2/19/15 -- Due to the extreme weather conditions forecasted for February 20, the Head Start and Early Head Start program will be closed to children tomorrow. The LCCAA administrative offices will open at 10:00 a.m. and the HEAP department will begin receiving clients at 10:00 a.m.

LCCAA to Host Town Hall Meetings

posted 2/12/15 -- The Lorain County Community Action Agency will host Town Hall meetings this month to share outcomes from the agency’s 2014 Community Needs Assessment. Results and the implications for programming and advocacy will be discussed at the meeting. The survey results will be presented by LCCAA’s Director of Community Services Block Grant, Frank Prihoda.
