LCCAA Head Start’s Health and Nutrition staff is turning out delicious, hot, fresh, homemade meals from its spacious new Central Kitchen.
After moving into the space last year, the staff has worked to organize equipment and supplies while making sure it complies with all licensing and regulatory requirements. Those include the Ohio Department of Agriculture as well as Head Start’s rigorous standards.
Barbara Rosario Garced’s love for children helped her persevere on a fast track to complete her Child Development Associate. Rosario-Garced is one of five LCCAA Head Start staff members to earn the credential in March.

The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is available to residents living at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level. Applications for this annual benefit can be made as early at July 1 before the winter season or as late as May 31 after the winter season.
