posted 3/27/24 -- Stacey Minter juggled raising three kids on her own while working with even more children as she completed her Child Development Associate credential through the University of Cincinnati.

Minter has worked as an Early Childhood Service Worker at LCCAA’s Wellington Head Start center for two years and all three of her children have attended the center.

“I chose early childhood education because I enjoy working with children,” Minter said. “I also want to have a positive impact on children's lives.”

Minter’s desire to work with children began years ago when she attended the Ashland County West Homes Vocational School for Early Childhood. Her personal experience has taught her that Head Start Works.

“My youngest is in Kindergarten and is considered a genius child for the skills that he learned in Head Start,” she said. “He will be taking the gifted test in second grade.

Minter proudly passed her course with an A after being out of school for 15 years and with kids wanting her attention.

“I am very thankful to everyone that helped me and supported me through this,” she said.
