Items Purchased for HUB Participants

posted 4/10/24 -- LCCAA’s Pathways HUB provides support to pregnant women and new mothers in a variety of ways. HUB Director Nina Brooks and Community Health Worker Coordinator Melissa Carroll recently stocked up on supplies to share with clients.

The two purchased diapers, wipes and formula to distribute as needed to the 290 women currently being served by the HUB.

“The cost for these items is always a concern for our participants,” Brooks said. “Our goal is to help those in need obtain the basic items that help contribute to the health and care of their babies.”

LCPHUB is a free program providing support to ensure mothers receive excellent pre- and post-natal care and assistance with basic needs. Community Health Workers in partnership with the HUB provide education and will even attend medical appointments with participants if needed.

The purchases were funded by a grant from Lorain County Public Health, she added, noting that donations of such items are also appreciated.

“This also alleviates stress on the mother. Knowing, as a mom, that you have access to these times in a time of need it always helpful.”

Anyone who would like to donate diapers, wipes or formula can contact Brooks at [email protected] or 440-457-0375.
